“Towards the greener environment”

Eco Club at RDPS has been instrumental in spreading the feeling of environmentalism among the students. The club follows the covenant that the Earth shall be secured against all environmental trespass and it shall never be oppressed. Our ultimate goal is to stop, and eventually reverse, the accelerating degradation of our planet’s natural environment, and to help build a future in which humans live in harmony with nature. The club explores various avenues in the environmental catastrophe and tries to create awareness for its sustenance. The club strives to encourage young students to use their creativity for environmental issues by turning their thoughts into action and spreads the awareness among masses about the importance of respecting and conserving the environment. To continue its endeavours of instilling the value of conservation and crafting life long bonds with Mother Nature, the club takes numerous proactive steps for a worldwide concern through various drives to encourage controlled use of paper, saving electrical energy, reusing containers, recycling, saving water, growing more trees and preservation of ozone layer. Recycling is a way of life for both school and children. The club also organizes awareness programmes such as Quiz, essay, painting competitions, rallies, nukkad natak etc. regarding various environmental issues and educate children about re-use of waste material & preparation of products out of waste. It further motivate students to imbibe habits and life style for minimum waste generation, promote ethos of conservation.

Objectives of Eco Club:

The club offers an opportunity to explore the myriad aspects of environmental sustain ability.
To create an awareness on environment issues of global concern.
To resolve problems related to it and contribute to its betterment.
